County narcotics task force seizes currency

Members of the Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force, a Houston High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area initiative, seized $509,000 in U.S. Currency concealed in a vehicle traveling South on U.S. 59, according to a press release from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.

On Wednesday, Sept. 12, Task Force members were conducting “Highway Interdiction” on the highway when Detective M.R. Hricko, a K-9 handler and member of the Task Force, observed a tractor-trailer traveling southbound on U.S. 59 near Cottonwood Church Road.
