Cub Scout Pack 279 of Rosenberg honored its top popcorn sellers with a limo ride and pizza party. Cub Scout Pack 279 recently held their annual Father/Son Cake Decorating contest. The object of the contest is to have father and son work as a team to create the most unique or creative confectionary masterpiece. Picture are Jason Lopez and Aaron Lopez with their contest entry.

Cub Scout Pack 279 of New Covenant Fellowship in Rosenberg has been participating in service projects to help the community. Their most recent effort was focused on collecting "pop tops" for the Ronald McDonald House Charities to help support the families of hospitalized children. The pop tops were turned over to Judy Schmid, owner of the Rosenberg McDonald's restaurants, to be donated to the cause. Cub Scout Pack 279 participated in loading a military package to send to an adopted soldier. The scouts had fun choosing what items to send and being able to place them in the box to be mailed along with notes and letters of encouragement.
